The second series of the Forum on Understanding Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism in Malaysia was conducted virtually in July 2021. The forum was aimed to promote better understanding of the threats and issues pertaining to terrorism, as well as terrorism prevention efforts in Malaysia.
A total of 72 local officers ranked from Captain to Major have attended the forum. The speakers were representatives from the SEARCCT, Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR) and Malaysia Institute of Defence and Security (MIDAS).
All participants showed great interest throughout the programme and agreed that they were able to expand their knowledge in counter-terrorism through their participation in the forum.
