On March 7, 2024, the Director-General of the Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism (SEARCCT), YBhg. Dato’ Ganeson Sivagurunathan, and his delegates made a courtesy visit to the Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) in Lahad Datu, Sabah. The SEARCCT delegation was welcomed by the Deputy Commander of ESSCOM, Brigadier General Ts. Haji Roslan bin Mat Saad, and senior officers from ESSCOM. The visit marked a significant step forward in strengthening partnerships and fostering closer collaboration between the two agencies in addressing security challenges in Sabah, especially in the Sabah eastern seaboard.
