SEARCCT and Akademi Tentera Darat (ATD) co-organised a forum entitled “Understanding Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism in Malaysia”. The program was attended by 70 Malaysian Army officers with the ranks of Captain and Major. Speakers for the forum were from the Royal Malaysia Police and Malaysia Institute of Defence and Security (MiDAS).
This forum was the first series of the ATD Grade 2 Staff and Tactic Course for 2021. This forum has been conducted annually since 2017.
The objectives of this forum were: –
To enhance the understanding of issues and challenges related to the threats of terrorism in Malaysia; and
To improve knowledge of participants in matters related to counter-terrorism efforts in Malaysia.
