SEARCCT and the International Relations Department of the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) co-organised SEARCCT’s University Lecture Series (ULS) on 16 May 2024. A lecture titled ‘Exploitation of Gaming Spaces by Extremists’ was delivered by Ms. Nurul Hidayah Mohd Noar. The presentation aimed to raise awareness on some of the ways extremists are exploiting games and gaming-adjacent platform. The lecture was held interactively where students participated in activities such as ‘Jeopardy’ and ‘Bingo’. The activities were to encourage students to share their experiences in gaming environment and participation in community-led initiatives within the space. SEARCCT was welcomed by Mr. Nuruddin Abdul Aziz and Mr. Muhammad Ammar from the International Relations Department, School of Business, APU. The programme was attended by approximately 73 students.
