SEARCCT in collaboration with Sarawak Information System Sdn. Bhd. (SAINS), a private company owned by the Sarawak State Government and a leading ICT Systems Integrator and Solutions Provider in Sarawak has successfully concluded the Terrorism 101 programme from 22 – 23 February 2022 which was held in Chemsain Auditorium, Kuching.
The programme began with an opening speech by Superintendent Loo Chee Lum, Director of Planning and Training, SEARCCT. Speakers were invited from the Malaysia Institute of Defence and Security (MiDAS), Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) and SEARCCT.
The main objective of the programme was to enhance the understanding of issues and challenges related to the threats of terrorism in Malaysia and to improve the participant’s knowledge in matters related to counter-terrorism efforts in Malaysia.
A total of 36 participants ranging from executive to managerial level from Sarawak Information System Sdn. Bhd. (SAINS) attended this programme. All the participants displayed great interest and participation throughout the programme. They provided positive feedback for the course evaluation. Moving forward, SAINS Sarawak is currently exploring possibilities to collaborate with SEARCCT to co-organize other relevant programmes.
