On 14 January 2025, SEARCCT had the honor of being invited by the Royal Malaysian Police College Kuala Lumpur to deliver a lecture titled “Emerging Trends in Terrorism.” Led by Mr. Kennimrod Sariburaja, Director of SEARCCT’s Research and Publications Division, the session aimed to equip police officers with critical knowledge and skills to enhance their understanding, management, and prevention of terrorist threats.
The lecture focused on key areas such as understanding the evolving nature of terrorist threats, implementing terrorism management and prevention strategies based on National Security Council (MKN) Directive No. 18, fostering coordinated actions, strengthening response mechanisms, and applying professional knowledge to effectively handle terrorism-related incidents.
The session fostered active engagement and discussions, allowing officers to exchange insights and enhance their preparedness for counter-terrorism operations. Participants provided positive feedback, noting the practical relevance and engaging approach of the lecture.
