TRAINING OF TRAINERS WORKSHOP FOR COUNSELLING TEACHERS (SOUTHERN ZONE) FOR ‘LEVERAGING EDUCATORS AGAINST RADICAL NARRATIVES’ (LEARN) PROJECT

Proud to announce the successful completion of our 3-day LEARN (Leveraging Educators Against Radical Narratives) Project Training of Trainers Workshop for Counselling Teachers in Johor Bahru!

Counselling teachers from across Southern Malaysia gained valuable insights on countering violent extremism through dedicated sessions on hate speech, terrorist narratives, and early warning early response mechanisms. From understanding the Malaysian landscape of violent extremism to developing powerful counter-narratives, our participants are now equipped with practical tools to locate early warning signs and foster resilience in their schools.

Over three dynamic days, participants have also been trained on skills to create school-specific implementation plans as well as to become trainers who will share knowledge with peers at their own respective schools.

This marks our SOUTHERN ZONE completion – with NORTHERN and CENTRAL zones coming up soon!
