Forum on Understanding Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism in Malaysia

SEARCCT in collaboration with Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), Prasarana Malaysia Berhad and Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), conducted a forum entitled “Understanding Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism in Malaysia” at KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur on 21 October 2019. This program was designed especially for senior officers in railway operating company. Fifty-one participants attended the forum, including Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operation Officers, Senior Managers, Security Managers and business operators at KL Sentral and nearby.

The objective of the forum was to increase understanding threats and issues surrounding terrorism in Malaysia. In addition, it also aimed to strengthen participants’ knowledge of terrorism prevention efforts in Malaysia, particularly in railway businesses. They were also given a chance for a question and answer session after the forum. Participants showed great interest in the topics discussed.
