DISCOURSE ON THE SUSTAINABILITY OF NATIONAL SECURITY,UNITY AND HARMONY

The Ministry of National Unity organised a discourse on the Sustainability of National Security, Unity and Harmony on 10 November 2024 in Tawau, Sabah. SEARCCT was invited to panel in three sessions alongside representatives from Royal Malaysia Police, the Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM), Institute of Teacher Education, Akademi Kenegaraan Malaysia, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, Jabatan Penerangan Malaysia, and Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Among the topics covered were national security, patriotism, and social media in the context of identity and unity. The forum was attended by local communities such as the Kawasan Rukun Tetangga and students from campus around Tawau. The one-day event was officiated by YB Senator Puan Saraswathy Kandasami, Deputy Minister of National Unity.
