Baku, Azerbaijan: Terror Act against Pakistani Teenager Malala Yousafzai Unforgivable: Turkish PM.

Baku, Azerbaijan: Terror Act against Pakistani Teenager Malala Yousafzai Unforgivable: Turkish PM.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday said that the terror act against Pakistani teenager Malala Yousafzai was unforgivable.
Erdogan's comments on Malala came as he addressed the 12th summit of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Baku, Azerbaijan.
On October 9, 2012, Yousafzai was shot in the head and neck in an assassination attempt by Taliban gunmen while returning home on a school bus in Swat District. Yousafzai (14) is known for her education and women's rights activism. As of October 15, she has been sent to the United Kingdom for further treatment.
"A similar incident unfortunately took place in Istanbul two days ago involving a female university student. Such incidents are constantly growing in numbers. It is our duty as humans and Muslims to prevent such incidents and we must work within our organization, the UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council in this regard. If necessary, we must establish new organizations to specifically deal with such incidents," Erdogan underlined.
On economic relations within the ECO, Erdogan said that the historic Silk Road had to be revitalized.
"We consider it our historic mission to take back our region, located at the center of crucial trade routes and energy lines, to its glorious days of the past," Erdogan also said.
